Notebook market resumed recession in the second quarter
489,000 notebooks were sold for the second quarter of 2016 in Russia. The fall as compared to the indicators of the same period of the previous year constituted 9.2%. The share of low-end devices ceased to grow, and by the end of the quarter even began decline. Overall, it constituted 58%, as in the previous quarter, but then there was a tendency for growth of this indicator, which was broken down in the second quarter.
Notebook market showed annual fall by 15% in June
In June the Russian market of notebooks constituted slightly more than 180,000 devices. This, of course, is greater than in May, but as before is less than for the same period of the previous year. The annual dynamics contracted to minus 15%.
Russian market of monitors is growing second quarter in succession
About half a million monitors for 79 million dollars were sold in the Russian market for the 2nd quarter of 2016. The weighted average cost of one device constituted 157.5 dollars. On a year on year basis (as compared to the same period of the previous year) the market had grown in units by 9% (20% growth was observed in the first quarter). By value the rise was notably more modest due to the reduction of the average weighted cost; even a nominal reduction by 1% was observed.
Russian market of monitors again sank in July
In July 2016 about 174,000 monitors were sold in the Russian market for 28.7 million dollars. As compared to the previous month the market showed a slight drop. On a year on year basis a comparable drop was also noted, approximately by 7% as compared to the level of July 2015. This is already the second month (after April) in this year with negative dynamics.
Russian market of professional panels had increased in the second quarter
6,680 information panels (LFD, professional displays with diagonal above 32 inches, computer monitors not included) were sold in the second quarter of 2016 in Russia. The total sales amount constituted about 17.8 million dollars. The average weighted cost of one device in the reporting period reduced to 2,670 dollars. As compared to the first quarter of the current year, the market in volume terms increased approximately by 10%, remaining at the same level by value.
In July the Russian projector market again went down
After June, which on the Russian projector market was the only month in 2016 with positive dynamics, the sales again slid down. According to the data of the analytical company ITResearch about 6,600 projectors for 5.7 million dollars was sold in July 2016. On a year to year basis (as compared to July 2015) reduction approximately by 12% in pieces, and slightly more by value was observed.
Projector market meanwhile declines
According to the data of the analytical company ITResearch, 16,550 projectors were sold in the Russian market for the second quarter of 2016 for 17 million dollars. The average weighted cost of the projectors constituted slightly more than 1,000 dollars. The market as compared to the first quarter had increased by 14% in pieces and 17% by value. However, on a year to year basis the dynamics remains negative. As compared to the second quarter of 2015 the market had slid by 7.6% in pieces and 15.8% by value.
Russian printer market with difficulty breaks away from the bottom
The analytical company ITResearch presented the preliminary data for the Russian hardcopy market. In total 502,200 printers and desktop MFD were sold during that period that is 2.6% more than in the second quarter of 2015. In monetary terms the growth rates of the market were higher viz. 8.2% (93.5 million dollars) that is explained by the rise of dollar prices for individual models, and shift of demand towards more powerful laser printers and desktop MFD.
Russian UPS market grew in the second quarter thanks to the tender
About 250,000 UPS were sold in the Russian market during the second quarter of 2016 amounting to 64.6 million dollars. The average weighted cost of one apparatus constituted 258 dollars. As compared to the first quarter of the current year the market had increased approximately by 32% in pieces and 19% by value. On a year to year basis the UPS market showed strong growth (although considerably lowlier than in the first quarter, when it exceeded 17% due to the miniscule base of the start of 2015). As compared to the second quarter of 2015, in the second quarter of 2016 the indicators in volume terms had increased by 7.6%, and by 5.7% by value that was completely under the forecast of ITResearch analysts.
