Russian market for monitors has been assessed for 100 million Dollars in the third quarter

According to the analytical company ITResearch, about 634,000 monitors were sold in the Russian market for the round amount of 100 million dollars. On a year on year basis (as compared to the similar period of the previous year) the market had increased in pieces by 11%. In money terms the growth was slightly modest: due to approximately 3% reduction of the weighted average cost, the market increased only by 8%. Thus, in the third quarter of 2016 the trend continued towards the restoration of the Russian monitor market. Moreover, the growth was more in the second quarter, but lower than in the first (20%).

"Swings" observed in the market for projectors

According to the analytical company ITResearch, in September 2016 about 10,000 projectors were sold in the Russian projectors market for 9.6 million Dollars. As compared to the indicators for August it had increased by another 8% that on the whole is not bad for the "high season" that has already started. However, after the sharp growth in August, the analysts cautioned:  "Some kind of super optimism in the market is not observed and we are not at all surprised, when following the September results the dynamics shall again go to the "red zone". This forecast proved to be fully true: as compared to September 2015, the market reduced approximately by 3%. Besides, in all likelihood the dynamics shall be positive again in October

Market for notebooks grew in September, but remained in the negative zone

According to the analytical company ITResearch, the Russian market for notebooks showed a slight growth in September 2016 as compared to August and it had increased by 5%. But the annual dynamics remained negative, constituting 8.5% in relation to September 2015. The market never ended up with annual growth, although the emerging depression in summer accompanied by the increase of recession seems to have been overcome.

Demand for hardcopy on the market stabilizes at a new level

The slight growth of the Russian market for printers and desktop MFD in the first half-year has been replaced by the not inconsiderable fall in the third quarter. Although the sales of printers relative to the second quarter of the current year had increased, as compared to the figures of the 3rd quarter of 2015 they had decreased by 23% (refer diagram). According to preliminary data by ITResearch, the total quantity of printers and desktop MFD sold in the 3rd quarter of 2016 constituted 567,000 pieces that is 172,000 less than the year before.
