Analysis of Russian IT market from ITResearch

ITResearch: results of IV quarter at monitors market are generally positive.

According to data of ITResearch analytical company, about 763 thousand monitors were sold at Russian market in 4-th quarter of 2016, for total amount of 122,6 mln. dollars. Weighted average price of one device was 160,6 dollars. Growth was observed in all indicators compared to similar period of 2015. In pieces growth made 6,4%; and in money - by 7,6%, due to growth of weighted average cost by 1,1%.

At Russian hardcopy market significant growth of dollar prices is observed

According to data of ITResearch analytical company, Russian market of printing devices in 4-th quarter of 2016 reduced in natural expression by over 20%. However, in money indicators were much more positive – 7% growth. Analytics note two reasons for such disbalance. Stable shift of demand and supply (supply – most of all) still contributes to monetary growth of the market towards high-performance and functional devices. For example, in laser segment share of sales of initial level models reduced significantly, and these devices are no longer the large-scale segment of laser market. At the same time, share of upper categories of monochrome devices, as well as for color models grew. But the main cause of sales growth in money became significant growth of dollar prices for products, which was fostered by strengthening of ruble compared to currency, which went on in the course of the year.

ITResearch: Russian hardcopy market is in the red again

According to data of ITResearch analytical company, in the last quarter of 2016, as usual, sales indicators for printers and desktop MFDs were the highest in the year. In total for that period in Russia about 660 thousand devices were sold, which is 16% more than in third quarter. However, the seasonal growth of demand was insufficient, and the annual dynamics, also for the third quarter, remained negative. Regarding 4-th quarter of 2015, the quantity of sold devices was reduced by 20,3%.

ITResearch: scanners market demonstrates variety of trends

ITResearch analytical company declared the results of 4-th quarter at Russian market of scanners. The last quarter of 2016 turned to be the most successful for scanners market. In both major segments of office scanners, portable and document-type, quantitative sales volumes were the highest in the year, although the annual dynamics (related to 4-th quarter of 2015) looked differently.
At tablet market, the demand for which reduced continuously in recent years, growth recession in 4-th quarter was almost twice lower than in the beginning of the year. According to data of ITResearch, in total for that period 21,8 thousand devices were sold, which is 10% less than in the last quarter of 2015. At the same time, cash volume of the market increased by 1,5%, making about 2,2 mln. dollars. <…> In document-scanners segment market dynamics was opposite to tablets – in natural expression the market grew, and in cash expression – reduced. In total for 4-th quarter 8,64 thousand devices were sold, which is by 2,5% more than a year ago, and the cash volume of this market reduced by 23%, down to 7.9 mln. dollars.

ITResearch: restitution at Russian market of UPS slowed down

According to data of ITResearch analytical company, in 4-th quarter of 2016 350 thousand devices were sold on Russian market for total amount of 90,3 mln. dollars. Compared to 3-rd quarter of 2016, the market increased by 20% in pieces, but at that grew only by 8,5% in cash. This was connected to reduction of weighted average price of UPS from 285 down to 258 dollars.
