POSITRONICA maintains its growth rates

The retailer summed up the results of the 2016 financial year.

Nationwide Electronics Retailer POSITRONICA, successfully operating on the retail market for more than 10 years (since 2006), summed up the results of the 2016 financial year. The chain of stores is developed by the largest Broadline Distributor MERLION. All stores are opened through the franchise system.

In 2016, the retailer opened 19 full-featured stores and 26 points for issuing and processing of Internet orders. The total number of trade points reached 169 at the end of the 2017 first quarter. The aggregate revenue of the chain is 10 billion rubles. After the crisis in 2015, the average revenue of a trade point grew by 20.8%; the average purchase amount of the online store positronica.ru increased by 10,9% and makes 8,950 rubles.

In 2016, the most popular product groups were “Smartphones”, “Components and PCs” and “Laptops”, accounting for 55% of total sales (24%, 18% and 13% respectively), whereas a year ago, the TOP-3 included "Laptops", "Televisions" and "Smartphones".

The TOP-10 manufacturers in the sales volume slightly changed compared to last year and is represented as follows: Acer, Apple, ASUS, Dell, HP, Intel, Lenovo, LG, Samsung, Toshiba (listed in alphabetical order).

Currently, the chain of electronic stores POSITRONICA is developed in accordance with the long-term business plan. "The development of franchising remains the key direction of our business in the next financial year. The company is planning to open new points with the existing partners, as well as with new ones. In financial year of 2017, we plan to increase the total number of points to 200, - says Sergey Krbashyan, general manager of the POSITRONICA retail chain. - Small investments, short investment return period, lack of a lump-sum contribution, an up-to-date franchise package that includes full support for the launch and operation of the store (interior design layout, product matrix, pricing, vendor training, marketing support for manufacturers, a popular online store, as well as recognizable and a strong brand) - all this makes our offer attractive for potential and operating franchisees».

The retailer is actively developing its online store and systematically increasing the share of online sales, planning 25% growth by 2019. The launch of a new version of the website positronica.ru, which was presented earlier this year, contributes to this growth. Since February 2017, some franchisees have already connected to the new platform and were able to evaluate its effectiveness. The new version of the POSITRONICA online store is available to communes where the products are delivered by "SPSR-EXPRESS"/ТК «СПСР». Now, the testing and processing of orders are effectuated by the partners from Moscow and Yekaterinburg. All partners of the POSITRONICA project will be migrated to a new site within half a year.
