The HP Corporation and the Merlion Company announced the signing of an official agreement to cooperate. Since August 1, 2005, inkjet and laserjet printers, multifunction and scanners of the world’s leading manufacturer , as well as support programs for level-two partners have been available to Merlion dealers from different Russian regions.
The Merlion Company, a leading Russian distributor of computer equipment and components, and the Hewlett-Packard Corporation, a world’s leading provider of key technologies for corporate-and end-customers, announced the signing of an official agreement to cooperate. With an official distributor status, Merlion gets authorized to deal with one of the manufacture’s fast-growing product segments: inkjet and laserjet printers, multifunction and scanners.
According to Mr. Konstantin Kimelmann, the manager of HP Printing and Digital Image Processing, Melion’s leading position in the IT distribution market, its willingness to focus on promoting the product category, and efficient regional sales channels influenced the choice of a new distributor. One of the key issues the distributor faces is to provide easier access to the HP product segment in regions.
Due to the agreement signed, Merlion partners get access to the most popular and advanced models of inkjet-and laserjet printers, multifunction and scanners from the world’s well-known manufacturer. They also get the opportunity to take part in various support programs for level-two partners.
In particular, Merlion may recommend its best regional dealers for possible HP level-two partners, so that they can get involved in the marketing level-two partner support programs.
Quite soon, those Merlion partners engaged in the consumer and SMB markets may take part in the HP rebate programs for printers and apply for advertising funds and product demos to decorate their outlets.
HP printers, multifunction and scanners are already in stock in Merlion and available for order.
