MERLION, the leading Russian IT-distributor, continues to expand assortment of computer accessories traditional for the company and declares the beginning of official cooperation with the largest Taiwan company Foxconn, the world leader in manufacture of hi-tech devices: electronic components, computer and communication equipment. Distributor agreement of MERLION assumes authorization on all products of Foxconn.
Cooperation of the companies began even before opening the Russian office. At the end of January, 2005 official agreement was signed and it confirmed the status of already developed activity.
According to Alexander Truhachev, the managing director of Moscow office of Foxconn, "the choice of the company as one of partners on territory of Russian Federation and CIS countries is caused by high professionalism of management of MERLION, advanced dealer network and an active marketing policy of the leading Russian distributor".
As a result of signing of the agreement MERLION dealers will get the most popular assortment of the computer accessories from Foxconn and access to support programs for partners of the second level. In the nearest plans of companies is authorization of MERLION partners.
Foxconn now delivers four kinds of products on Russian market: system boards, cases for computers, blocks of cooling and devices for reading of memory cards. In the future the assortment of offered products will include LCD-monitors and LCD-TVs, portable computers, keyboards, mice, video adapters and other devices. In the near future Foxconn will begin sale of "skeletal" PCs (barebone) and Wi-Fi- devices.
