MERLION System Solutions a New Distributor for HP Servers and Data Storage Systems

MERLION System Solutions and HP signed a distribution contract for standard servers and data storage systems.

Moscow, February 7, 2007 - MERLION System Solutions, a corporate distribution subsidiary of the MERLION Company, and HP, the leading solutions provider to businesses, announced that they have signed a distribution contract for standard servers and data storage systems. It is worth pointing out that MERLION System Solutions became first to sign a distribution agreement on standard servers and data storage systems after the merger of HP and Compaq in 2001.

The distributor status for HP standard servers and data storage systems was a significant and natural stage of the partnership between HP and MERLION System Solutions. “This contract will make it possible for us to enter one of the leading HP segments – the segment of servers and storage. The first distribution agreement for printing and digital photography products was signed by MERLION in 2005. Then it was MERLION System Solutions that expanded its partnership with HP to the segment of ProCurve Networking. Last year, we began distributing PCs and workstations. With another contract today I can say for sure that as a project distributor we are willing and ready to meet almost every need of our partners and their corporate customers in terms of HP solutions,” said Slava Simonenko, Director of MERLION System Solutions.

“After a short break, before we decided on the choice of a new distributor, we looked of course at the results MERLION System Solutions showed in other areas”, says Viktor Gorodnichy, HP Standard Servers Manager, Russia, “We are committed to expand our distribution channels, win more regional markets and grow our business in different segments.”

MSS intends to increase its sales share of HP servers and data storage systems up to 20% of the subsidiary’s total sales. In order to achieve this, MSS will enhance its dealer channel, which includes about 600 companies as of the year end 2006 report, offer its partners a wide range of HP ProLiant servers and data storage systems, deliver bespoke solutions, including Hi-End products. MSS will also provide a complete sales support, including HP Demo packages and special promo programs designed to boost HP business and promote the new opportunities of MERLION System Solutions.
