Stationery exhibition “Clip Expo 2019” is over. We are summing up

Svetlana Baskakova, Director for Purchasing of the “Stationery” and “Business Presents” business areas of MERLION speaks about the main industry event of the year.

The editors of KanzOboz.ru traditionally conducted a survey of the participants of the last exhibition, “Clip Expo”. We asked colleagues to evaluate the main industry event of the year, note positive aspects, make critical remarks and wishes for the future, name the products (or product categories) that aroused the greatest interest of visitors, talk about what has surprised, pleased, upset.

It is no secret to anyone that a new stationery exhibition will probably take place at the Expocenter next spring. Its organizers promised to make a statement soon. We are waiting. But looking ahead, we have already learned the opinion of market participants about this.

Obviously, in order to survive in any highly competitive market, you need to work hard, constantly inventing, changing, opening new opportunities for yourself, customers, and consumers. Apparently, most companies have long been engaged in this. We wish all players of the market success and profit in the 2019 season!

Svetlana Baskakova, MERLION: We evaluate the past “Clip” positively. The exhibition turned out to be very rich and effective for MERLION from a commercial point of view: many interesting meetings, productive communication and negotiations, useful feedback, and also good emotions that deliver the right mood. I would especially note the “Main Stationery Question” forum. It turned out to be interesting — strong performances and relevant topics.

The interest of visitors was great both to our exclusive brands and to our own ones. I think MERLION’s booths attracted attention with their brightness: juicy DELI designs attracted attention, the fresh “Solar” collection of Silwerhof, as well as new neon folders and armchairs of Bureaucrat’s own production  aroused great interest. In addition, many customers were pleased with the expansion of the product range in the gift and souvenir segment, in particular, the appearance in the MERLION’s portfolio of the oldest German brand — Pelikan. We were also pleased to see that consumer requirements for product quality continue to grow, which means that we, as one of the largest distributors of stationery products, can offer a wide range of popular products in different price segments.

Clip Expo is a proven, successful exhibition project that fully meets the needs of the market and has been attracting a large number of participants for many years. In addition, Crocus Expo is a platform with an ideal location and good infrastructure: convenient transport accessibility, proximity to the subway and the airport, ample parking, and the availability of a large number of restaurants, a shopping and entertainment center and a hotel. However, do not forget that we always focus on customers and take into account primarily their requests and desires.

I consider it right when the organization of any exhibition takes into account the interests of customers. After all, we participate in exhibitions just for them and for them.
