IT Channel News (formerly CRN/RE) summed up the results of the rating "Top 25 Regional IT Companies 2022", in which the authors asked IT industry experts about the most effective ways to overcome the life restrictions encountered in the way of IT companies, and asked them two questions. Among the experts of the rating is Tatyana Skokova, Distribution Director of Merlion's Broadline Distribution Division.
1. Which strategy is currently more successful for IT companies — partners of the second level: to SURVIVE or to DEVELOP?
T.S.: Each company has its own specifics, its own input data, and its own resilience. You should choose a strategy by considering all your actions a few steps forward. Ask yourself what goal you want to achieve, identify the terms and the results you want to have. If you have enough determination and confidence, then you should focus on the strategy of developing. Look for new areas of knowledge and experience application, taking on everything, and your actions will definitely work somewhere, and you are sure to arrive to the desired destination.
2. What is the format of the response to constant stress that will now allow you to achieve the best results: fight, run or freeze? Do you have any examples of how such responses have helped your partners this year? And which strategy helps you in the current situation?
T.S.: It is too early to talk about the strategy that "helps", but I hope that "fight and run forward" should work well. Now, as you often hear people say, "a window of opportunity opens" for those who have enough strength, courage and even audacity to overcome colleagues in the industry in the development of new directions and niches, shifting their focuses, and transformation of the business model. Many of our partners have gone through more than one crisis with us, so we can be sure that they will choose the right format for responding to stress in the current situation.
