MERLION has become the first Russian distributor to offer a progressive model of antivirus software using on a monthly subscription basis to its partners.
The leading VAD distributor - the largest Broadline Distributor in the Russian market - MERLION, and the Russian developer of information security tools under Dr.Web brand - Doctor Web Company - announce the signing of the distribution agreement and the sales start of subscriptions to “Dr.Web Anti-virus” service based on MerliONCloud platform (the distributor reported about the launch of the service during MERLION IT Solutions Summit that took place in September).
The progressive model of antivirus software using on a monthly subscription basis was first proposed by Doctor Web more than ten years ago, which was the beginning of the SaaS era in the history of the Russian antivirus industry. But, until now, this possibility was mainly available to the Internet providers’ customers. Due to the signing of this agreement, MERLION has become the first Russian distributor who offered its partners to evaluate the convenience of the service business model. The platform allows the partners to sell Dr.Web solutions (subscriptions) to both legal entities and individuals.
What is the advantage of the subscription?
The implementation of cloud-based antivirus protection allows for extremely flexible response to changes in the situation in the field of information security, and management of protection components by quickly adjusting to the existing threats landscape.
