The Merlion Group of Companies announces its entry into a new market segment: the distribution of robotic warehouse equipment and internal logistics automation systems. The fulfillment operatora "Kaktus", which became part of Merlion GC in 2022, signed a distribution agreement with Hefei Jingsong Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., a Chinese manufacturer and developer of intelligent logistics solutions under the XGEN Robot brand. The document was signed on September 15, 2026, at CeMAT RUSSIA – Russia's largest specialized exhibition of machinery, equipment, and automation solutions for warehouse and industrial logistics.
For Merlion, entering the robotic warehouse equipment segment is a natural step. The group of companies possesses its own extensive logistics infrastructure, manages the federal retailers Citilink and Pozitronika, as well as the fulfillment operator "Kaktus", which works with major marketplaces and processes over 150,000 online orders monthly.
The Russian warehouse automation market is undergoing a phase of rapid growth. Several factors are driving this trend: a shortage of warehouse personnel, the growth of e-commerce and the increasing demand for faster order processing, as well as government support for the implementation of robotics in production and logistics. In particular, the national project "Means of Production and Automation" was launched in 2025 and is set to run through 2030.
Hefei Jingsong Intelligent Technology has been operating in the global market since 2007. The company develops and manufactures automated logistics warehouse systems, intelligent warehouse and logistics equipment, as well as warehouse management software.
Merlion's partnership with XGEN provides Russian companies with access to a full range of intralogistics robotics, including autonomous robotic warehouse management systems. Combining XGEN's technological base with Merlion's distribution, logistics, and service capabilities will allow the B2B market to be offered not just equipment, but integrated turnkey projects.
Andrey Polyakov, Director of the Operations Division at Merlion GC:
"We have been working with the XGEN brand for over a year. One of Merlion’s warehouse facilities has already become a pilot site for integrating robots into our logistics infrastructure. We have gone through the entire process of debugging and configuring the equipment, evaluating its performance under real-world conditions. This experience will allow us to offer our partners and their customers not just equipment, but an end-to-end solution – from selecting robots to implementing and supporting them. We plan to actively develop this business line and expect it to become a noticeable part of our portfolio within the coming year."
