What tasks did participants in the Russian IT channel set for themselves at the end of 2023 - the beginning of 2024 for the coming year; what was achieved and what wasn't — and where, perhaps, unexpected luck smiled? What can be called the most surprising and significant challenge for the Russian IT market in the past year? Evgeny Vasilyev, Director of Merlion's Value Added Distribution (VAD) division, shared his observations.
"Our main goal," says Evgeny Vasilyev, Director of Merlion's Value Added Distribution (VAD) division, "was to develop engineering competencies. The demand for product stack demonstrations has remained high for several years. This trend continued in 2024. Since 2022, Merlion has been developing its demo lab. Although this is not a core activity for a distributor, it is important for us to support our partners and contribute to their growth. That's why we've been expanding the demo lab's capacity and building engineering expertise for several years. Merlion now has over 55 test stands, and we continue to deploy new ones. The capabilities of our technical center currently allow us to test not only individual products but also integrated systems, compatibility of different software and hardware configurations."
