MERLION is Russia''s Best Russian IT Distributor in 2019

CRN/RE editors summed up the results of the next rating “Best Russian IT Distributors 2019”. MERLION was awarded in five nominations out of seven: it won the first place as “Distributor for retail” and entered top 5 in four nominations: “Distributor for system integrator”, “Distributor for assembler”, “Distributor for software”, and a new nomination "AV distributor."

MERLION was able to become the best not only in the overall standings in the nominations, but also received the highest marks for the criteria: “Consultations, assistance in the development of projects” (“Distributor for retail”), “Availability of the B2B system” (AV-distributor ”),“ Programs profit generation ”,“ Ability to solve problems”, “Financial support” (“Distributor for retail”), “Range of assortment” (“Distributor for system integrators”, “Distributor for assemblers”, “AV-distributor”).

The survey of respondents was conducted from the end of May to the end of October 2019. The work of distributors was evaluated by representatives of 567 IT companies from 68 settlements: top managers (general, executive, commercial directors and their deputies), employees of the procurement, sales and logistics departments, as well as managers of marketing departments of dealer companies.

During the study, resellers filled out a questionnaire consisting of eight tables. In the first one, it was necessary to assess the importance of each of the 12 criteria for the work of distributors specializing in deliveries to different groups of partners (assemblers, retailers, system integrators), as well as distributors of software, information security tools (new nomination), AV equipment (a new nomination) and specialized (niche) ones. A ten-point scale was proposed to determine the significance of each criterion. The second part of the questionnaire evaluated the work of specific distributors. In each of the seven tables (“Distributor for system integrators”, “Distributor for retailers”, “Distributor for assemblers”, “Distributor of software”, “Distributor of information security tools”, “AV distributor”, “Specialized distributor”), respondents could enter no more than the top five, in their opinion, distributors corresponding to this specialization. After that, resellers rated each of the suppliers named by them according to all 12 criteria.

In conclusion, it is worth noting that in this rating, MERLION has consistently ranked among the best distributors for the seventh time in a row (previous ratings were issued in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015 , 2017).
